Hello Friends and Family,
Another great road trip……Last month we traveled to the coast of Kenya, stopping along the Kenya/Tanzania border for a regional meeting. We taught for 3 days to over 375 leaders in the combined trip. The picture is of a banner that greeted us in one of the towns when we arrived. It was in the middle of the town to welcome us.
It’s time to build…..Yes, next week we will begin construction on the next building at CMM. The first phase will cost $100,000.00 and we have approximately $20,000.00 but felt God said to start with what we have. As I was praying, the words, “push away from the shore” came to mind. You can’t cross the lake until you push away from the shore and start the journey. After contacting our contractor and informing him of the funds we presently have, he believes we can definitely get started! So, build it and they will come, along with the resources we need. During the conference next week, we will take a huge leap of faith and start building. If you haven’t given what you pledged this year, this would be a great time to do so.
6 days of Impact…..Saturday, June 10, begins 6 of the most significant days of this year for the work here. We have organized a meeting on Saturday for Gateway Church of Southlake, Texas, Clarence Matheny Leadership Training Institute, several key church and spiritual leaders of our city and nation, along with key government officials. It will be 4 hours of roundtable discussions on how to impact the city with meeting key needs and then bringing in ministry. On Monday we have arranged a Marketplace Transformation Seminar for 300 businessmen, businesswomen and entrepreneurs. It will be held downtown in a major hotel with several key business leaders from the Dallas area sharing on ministry in the marketplace. Monday is also the opening day for our next leader’s conference at CMLTI. We are expecting 400-500 leaders for 5 days of teaching and ministry, targeting Worship Leaders. We are especially blessed to have our oldest son, Travis, coming to help in the teaching and worship ministry. After these 6 days are over, we will have impacted many key leaders in our city and nation and will have laid the groundwork for some significant ministry and open doors for the future.
We need your prayers….We can tell that the upcoming conference and ministry will be powerful by the way the enemy and circumstances have been attacking. Debbie and I both got sick on the same day a few days ago, plus my car was rear ended by a matatu (taxi, sort of). Debbie’s Mom has been in a hospital in Florida twice in the last 2 weeks. To top it off, last week a gang of 8 robbers (2 of them had pistols), tried to break into our offices at CMM. They roughed up some of our guards, took their cell phones, a pair of shoes, etc. However, several guards escaped and alerted the police and the guards from our neighboring property. Before the thugs could manage to break in they had to run off due to all the activity. They never got in the building. Consequently, we know it is going to be an awesome week ahead!
Again, many thanks for your support and prayers. We cannot continue the vision here without all of you!
Bless you
Ronnie & Debbie Matheny
